Regular expression search does not work for Japanese characters in Xbench 2.9

I’m using Xbench 2.9. I’m getting errors when I search these patterns in target with Regular Expression mode:

コメディ[^ー]|コメディ$
コラボ[^レ]

It seems specific characters such as ー and ボ have something to do with this problem.

Xbench 2.9 is not Unicode and does not support DBCS characters in a set of a regular expression.

For Unicode support in regular expressions, you need to upgrade to Xbench 3.0.
