Sometimes Microsoft Defender Smartscreen prevents the installation or update of ApSIC Xbench claiming that it is a unrecognized app which was downloaded from the Internet.
There are two possible solutions to this problem.
Solution 1: Click the Don’t run button to cancel the installation. Right-click on the Setup.Xbench.xxx.zip file you downloaded from www.xbench.net and select Properties. A dialog will popup:
Make sure to check the Unblock box and click OK. Retry the installation.
Solution 2: Click the More info link. This will enable the Run anyway button.
Click on it and the Xbench installation will start.
