Besides the QA plugins (for example, the instant spell-checking engine is a QA plugin), you can also achieve some automation by generating suitable files for Xbench.
Xbench file formats are documented in GitHub.
For example, the Xbench plugin for Studio generates suitable .xbp and .xml files and then launches Xbench.
