Hi, I thought these operators were interchangeable, but when I use “|” I get only the first word in the sentence highlighted in the search, but when I use “or” I get both.
What ist the difference and when to use which one?

The “or” operator is for Powersearch mode only. More info on Powersearch here: How to Use PowerSearch in Xbench - YouTube and here: Advanced Features :: ApSIC Xbench Documentation
The “|” operator is a Regex operator as defined here: Regular Expressions and Microsoft Word Wildcards :: ApSIC Xbench Documentation
